EDF is Westinghouse’s largest fuel customer. We serve EDF with various fuel related products and services: supply of fuel assemblies, components, fuel on-site services, engineering programs and R&D (like ATF) programs are also under development.

General Job Function:

 

We serve EDF out of a large and global delivery base: our fuel plants in Sweden, US, UK, and our partner ENUSA in Spain; engineering offices in US, Sweden, Belgium, on-site services offices in France and Belgium.

Serving this important and demanding customer requires to educate, align, and coordinate these many resources to the EDF particular expectations and particular working requirements and practices. Customer intimacy, knowing the cultural barriers, on language especially, is also critical to catch well their feedback and expectations, drive issues to resolutions, improve customer satisfaction and grow opportunities.

 

Duties and Responsibilitie:

 

> Support our global contract management teams in achieving customer satisfaction and delivering our contracts flawlessly and with agility by providing more customer intimacy. Seek frequent formal and less formal feedback.

 

> This support to the contract management team will be in key areas of our contracts execution, such as:

  • understanding and forecasting customer’ needs,
  • manufacturing issues and developments,
  • transport and delivery issues and developments,
  • security of supply evaluations,
  • engineering projects management,
  • management of contractual aspects like claims.

 

> Coach our delivery organizations to understand and meet customer’s requirements and expectations

> Be a trusted voice of Westinghouse to the customer and vice versa.

> Work closely with Fuel Business Manager and the commercial team in developing and securing new business opportunities, support as needed with promoting our products, services and capabilities in front of the customer, capture customer need, VOC, by staying close to the customer as well as participating in offer development and negotiations, primarily for those day-to-day offers and orders in direct support of our existing main contracts.

 

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economics or other relevant area.
  • 5 years of experience in the (French) Nuclear business, preferably in fuel related areas.
  • Customer relationship and communication skills: create intimacy, build trust
  • Project management skills: understand issues, risks, barriers ; identify and drive team to resolution. No PM academics required though
  • Business development skills: listen to needs, identify opportunities and articulate solutions
  • Experience (3yr+) with EDF nuclear projects: mindset, working practices, customer situation and needs
  • Experience in nuclear fuel (manufacturing, engineering, commercials) would be a plus and reduce learning curve
  • French very fluently in speaking and writing
  • English fluently in speaking and writing
