About the role:

As a Material Engineer you will provide support throughout the different stages of the projects: during the design stage (selection of materials), during the offer stage (by understanding customer requirements), during the execution stage (by flowing down the requirements to the supplier), and during the manufacturing stage until installation (by resolving issues related to materials).

You will report to the Manager, New Component Supply and be located at Villejust (France).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide an expertise during the selection of materials at design stage.

  • Support the project technical lead in the analysis of the customer requirements and in the definition of the applicable material requirements.

  • Draft/Review material procurement specifications and Fabrication Technical Programs.

  • Review, if needed, material certificates and technical procedures.

  • Support throughout the fabrication process the resolution of issues/non-conformances related to materials and propose repair solutions.

  • Be the technical interface with the customer, the Notified Body or the French Safety Authority (ASN) on the material topics.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Material Engineering or equivalent

  • Form 10 to 15 years of experience as material engineer in an industrial environment

  • Knowledge of the nuclear environment (RCC-M and ASME Codes, ESPN and PED regulations)

  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
