Overall Mission
Within the Steam Generator (SG) Products Group, you will contribute to the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of maintenance technologies supporting nuclear power plant customers across the Europe, Middle East & Africa (ELA) region.
This role focuses on the design and development of innovative solutions for Steam Generator maintenance processes, particularly Eddy Current Inspection systems, with a strong emphasis on software development, motor control, automation, and robotics.
You will work in a highly technical environment where safety, quality, performance, innovation, and operational excellence are key drivers.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Development
- Identify and analyze project technical requirements.
- Develop technical concepts and solutions in support of Steam Generator maintenance activities.
- Contribute to the development of software, equipment, and inspection processes.
- Participate in automation and robotics developments supporting maintenance operations.
- Contribute to motor control systems and communication architecture design.
Design & Documentation
- Draft detailed design specifications and procurement specifications.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, procedures, and engineering reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Westinghouse standards, processes, and procedures.
Testing & Qualification
- Participate in development, validation, and qualification testing activities.
- Analyze results and prepare associated technical reports.
- Support the qualification and deployment of new technologies and processes.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and technical problem-solving during development activities.
Project Support
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Participate in project reviews and technical meetings.
- Support First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) deployments during on-site execution phases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and growth initiatives within the Steam Generator product line.
Field Exposure
- Participate in site activities during an initial training period to gain an understanding of Steam Generator maintenance operations and field constraints.
- Travel occasionally based on project and customer needs.
Accountabilities
- Deliver engineering activities in accordance with project requirements, schedules, and quality expectations.
- Ensure developed solutions meet operational needs and performance objectives.
- Contribute to the successful qualification and deployment of innovative maintenance technologies.
- Apply engineering best practices and Westinghouse processes throughout project execution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation.

The role combines office-based engineering activities with occasional travel to workshops, testing facilities, and nuclear power plant sites.
Profile
Education
- Master's Degree in:
- Automation Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Or a related technical discipline
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar engineering role.
- Experience in the nuclear industry is considered an advantage.
- Experience in industrial automation, robotics, or software development is highly desirable.
Languages
- Fluent French required.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
