If this sounds like a work environment in which you would like to grow, we have a great opportunity for an Operational Nuclear Project Engineer within the ELA (Europe Latin America) Reactor Services department.

Within Westinghouse’s ELA Business Unit, the Outage & Management Services Division ensures the development of solutions for our utility clients and the execution of interventions on nuclear sites (inspections, maintenance, replacement of components, etc.).

The Special Projects group performs maintenance activities on the reactor, its internal components, its vessel head, as well as on Fuel Assemblies and certain piping of the core safeguard systems.

Activities are varied: NDE, Stress Corrosion Cracking Prevention, Component Replacement, Reactor Vessel Opening and Closing…

 

Your responsibilities and daily tasks will include:

  1. Joining the operational team working on various nuclear production sites in France and Europe
  2. Acquiring and integrating technical expertise within the operational team
  3. Managing operational projects according to Westinghouse Project Management standards
  4. Contributing to the development of new processes in collaboration with the Product team

 

Main Missions

 

1. On‑site Activities (40%)

You will be an integral part of the on‑site operational management team and will be responsible for supervising both the teams and the project as a whole, ensuring compliance with technical, quality & safety, contractual, and financial requirements.

You will be responsible for all phases of the project: proposal, planning, execution, and closing.

Travel within France and Europe may vary in duration and may require weekend work or shift schedules.

 

2. Office‑based Activities (60%)

 

These activities are carried out either remotely or on‑site in Villejust.

You will contribute to preparing activities:

  • Preparing necessary technical/commercial proposals
  • Planning and preparing operational projects (challenge reviews, team allocation, etc.)
  • Managing certain transversal projects remotely
  • Ensuring equipment preparation
  • Contributing to the implementation of improvement actions (organizational or technical)
  • Acting as the technical‑commercial interface with the client
  • Closing projects

 

Your Profile

 

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5), preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in operational project management would be an advantage
  • Experience working on CNPE (nuclear power plants) would be a plus
  • Strong writing skills (procedures, technical notes, etc.)
  • Proficiency in office software tools
  • Strong interest in teamwork, fieldwork, and business travel
  • A good level of English is expected
