General Mission
The Operations Group Lead directly impacts the company’s results by effectively managing the human and material resources assigned to them. They ensure team development to guarantee service quality and reinforce the application of Safety, Security, and Quality standards on site.
Key Activities
The Operations Group Lead for Reactor Service will have an operational team of between 10 to 20 people that can goes from technician level 1 role to Project Manager.
His team will be accountable for onsite operation project execution among “Special Project” entity and mainly Televisual Inspection contract for Fuel inspection and in assistance with Opening and Closing of the Vessel. He is also accountable for Customer satisfaction and executing activities as required per the customer contract.
The managed operational team is fully remote and on operation in France (95%) or occasionally in ELA region.
The Lead is consequently mobile and has the flexibility to go on site ensuring team performance as required.
“Special project” entity in Reactor Service is also in charge of Mechanical Stress Improvement Process for Stress Corrosion Cracking mitigation, NDE inspection system, Upper Internals component replacement…
Human Resources Management
- Assign competent and qualified personnel to meet customer and Westinghouse requirements.
- Allocate the appropriate number of personnel to projects based on defined scopes.
- Promote a culture of safety, security, and customer orientation.
- Optimize personnel utilization rate.
- Maintain team engagement by ensuring application of Westinghouse collective rules.
Personnel Development
- Develop training and development plans.
- Set, monitor, and evaluate individual and team performance objectives.
- Facilitate cross-utilization options following business logic.
Resource Management
- Allocate the necessary equipment and materials for projects.
- Define annual operating budgets and ensure efficient cost allocation.
- Identify recruitment needs.
Technical Results
- Provide technical support based on strong operational feedback to support product development and commercial growth.

Responsibilities
- Ensure team performance.
- In coordination with project managers, deliver on-site operations with the appropriate capacity levels.
- Proactively propose optimization and arbitration options in case of conflicts.
Autonomy
- Lead their team independently.
- Independently monitor activity progress, with managerial approval required for financial aspects.
- Report at least bi-monthly to their manager.
Working Relationships
Hierarchical Relationships
- Reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Functional Relationships
- Works closely with the product group and local support organizations.
- Regularly interacts with contract managers.
Key Competencies
- University degree in engineering or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in service provision or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear services and understanding of strategic and commercial priorities.
- Understanding of business and financial processes.
- Good knowledge of continuous improvement processes.
- Experience in planning and project management.
1/ Problem-Solving
- Use creative planning and resource management skills to address complex challenges related to planning, skill allocation, costs, and staffing.
- Develop techniques and methods to optimize productivity, minimize costs, and ensure personnel and equipment commitments are met, sometimes on short notice.
- Resolve resource conflicts with outage managers and product managers in a way that maintains customer satisfaction and optimizes business volume.
2/ Persuasion
- Use negotiation and persuasion skills to ensure team engagement in a constantly evolving environment.
- Motivate teams to work efficiently (quality – operations – training).
- Enhance staff performance through feedback and implementation of performance improvement techniques.
