About the Opportunity


Westinghouse Electric Canada is a leading supplier of custom equipment, process systems and engineering consultant services for the Nuclear industry in Canada.  The successful candidate will join an innovative team that supports Westinghouse’s mission to provide clean energy solutions. As a part of our growing operation in Peterborough, the successful candidate will be responsible for document control activities related to a fast paced manufacturing plant. 


What will you do?

Your day to day: 

  • Managing the arrival and sending of electronic documents via email or an FTP site.
  • Track document dates and maintain an Excel database of those dates. 
  • Print full size drawings and deliver them to assigned departments.
  • Scan full size drawings and save in a PDF drawing repository.
  • Scan and verify the accuracy of large quality documentation packages.
  • Sort, organize and forward various supplier electronic documents and send to QA representatives.
  • Administrative duties related to security and visitor access to the facility
  • Maintain inventory of critical office supplies/consumables
  • General office administration duties such as; primary coordination with cleaning contractor, mail distribution, prepare and support arrangements for group visits, etc…
  • Support preparation of presentation materials via Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Other administrative-support duties as required.
  • General hours are Mon thru Thursday 8:00am to 5:15pm, Fridays 8:00am to 1pm. Very rare but occasional overtime is required.


What will you bring?

Who you are: 

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in an office environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience and comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Nuance



  • Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma/degree in a relevant field
  • Training as related to document control
  • This is a detail oriented position that will require a solid background in the use of computers, printers, and scanners. You will be a self starter working in a professional office environment.
