About the role: We are looking for an experienced Generator Repair Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbine generators across multiple OEM platforms supporting both scheduled maintenance and corrective repairs.

You have hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical generator components, can diagnose faults, and is comfortable working in a high-reliability, safety-focused wind energy environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, and replacement of wind turbine generator components
  • Complete generator-related corrective maintenance, including rotor, stator, bearings, insulation systems, and cooling systems
  • Support generator-specific tasks such as alignment, electrical testing, and vibration analysis
  • Read and interpret OEM technical documentation, schematics, and repair procedures
  • Safely perform work in nacelles and towers following site safety policies
  • Work with wind turbine technicians, engineers, and field supervisors
  • Document work performed and complete service reports and job records

 

Qualifications:

  • igh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in generator repair, electrical maintenance, or wind turbine service
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Work at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to travel to wind sites
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance

 

Desired Experience

  • Experience working on ELIN wind turbine generators, including DFIG, synchronous, and permanent‑magnet designs
  • Experience with Ingeteam / INDAR generator systems, including generator–converter integrated platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Winergy wind turbine generators, including DFIG, permanent‑magnet, or squirrel‑cage designs
  • Familiarity with generator cooling systems (air‑cooled, liquid‑cooled, or water‑jacket configurations)
  • Experience performing inspection, troubleshooting, and repair on multi‑MW wind turbine generators
  • Prior traveling field service or up‑tower generator repair experience
  • Exposure to generator systems from Siemens Gamesa, GE, Vestas, Mitsubishi, or Acciona
  • Experience working on multi‑MW wind turbine generators in a traveling field service role
