Robotics Innovation Intern - Hardware Summer 2025

Position Summary:

The Westinghouse Digital & Innovation organization is offering a Summer 2025 Robotics Internship at the Westinghouse Churchill Innovation Center in Churchill, PA.  The Student Intern will join the Robotics & Sensor Technology Team and support the design and prototyping of robotics systems, including the development of complex software stacks to implement robot automation, autonomy, and sensor adaptive control functions. 

Student Intern Role/Expectations:

Student Intern will work with Robotics & Sensors Team Engineers to explore advanced digital tools in the form of high-resolution, physics-based, robotics simulations to model complex interactions of robotic systems in environments with many moving components.  Data from the simulations will be used to inform and support business case development and robotic systems design decisions.

Preferred Education Major/Concentration (in order of preference):

Robotics Engineering

Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Mechanical Engineering
