General Job Function:

 

Based at Springfields site (but the majority of the time you will be able to work remotely from home), the OPS Commercial Integration Engineer is responsible for developing commercial offers to UK customers, as well as customers in Central & Northern Europe, South Africa and Middle East. Reporting to the Commercial Integration Manager Central & Northern Europe, South Africa, UK and Middle East (based in Belgium), the work includes leading offer preparations from customer request to project start and involves working with teams (Project Managers, Engineers, Technicians, Legal, Supply Chain, etc.) at the Westinghouse sites in the UK but also across the wider Westinghouse in EMEA, USA and potentially other locations.

 

You will be working closely with the EMEA & LAM (Europe, Middle East, Africa & Latin America) Sales Team and the Global Market Team (Account Team) in securing new business, across all product lines in OPS Business Unit.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Preparing the offer Division of Responsibility Matrix, Bid and Proposal funding estimates and communicating the bid schedule to the bid teams
  • Facilitating a bid/no-bid discussion, with internal stakeholders and ensuring a bid/no bid decision is made and communicated to the offer team
  • Coordinating and leading the offer kick off meeting
  • Working with Project Manager and Technical Input Lead (assigned by the delivery organization), Sales, Global Market, Contracts/ Legal, and as necessary, other organization such as Supply Chain, Finance, Tax, Quality Assurance, Treasury, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), etc.
  • Develop and manage the offer program ensuring all internal LOA process (Westinghouse Governance process) requirements and customer deliverables are met, including the scope schedule and cost elements of the offer. This may include taking appropriate action, including escalation to management (if necessary), if problems occur in meeting the agreed upon schedule
  • Develop cost models to support the financial aspect of the submission and LOA governance process
  • Write high quality offer letters and where necessary responses to answer questions included in the customer’s Request for Quotation, ensuring all aspects of the questions are addressed clearly and concisely
  • Confirming LOA requirements, scheduling the meetings, and developing the LOA document, in accordance with the Westinghouse LOA Policy. Provide support to the LOA meeting presenters or directly lead LOA meetings attended by the appropriate Senior Westinghouse leadership up to Board level.  Securing LOA approvals and archiving the final approved document
  • Integrating all relevant inputs into the customer-specific offer templates; reviewing, compiling and customizing the required information into a complete submission package
  • Verifying that all elements of the customer Request for Quotation are addressed and incorporated into the offer package
  • Distributing the draft offer package to the offer team, and consolidating comments into the final offer package, as required
  • Supporting the Sales and Global Market Teams in contract negotiations
  • Scheduling and leading a post-job brief with the offer team and logging lessons learned into the Westinghouse Corrective Action Program tool (CAP), as appropriate
  • Entry of orders in SAP and raising order acknowledgement letters to the customer
  • Inputting and reviewing data for opportunities in the Customer relationship management system Dynamics 365 database

 

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Business Management (or equivalent experience)
