Role Description:
An Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Energy Management opportunity has arisen within PSD - Utilities. The role will provide technical E/I&C support and in addition carry out a number of Energy Management activities to include utilities forecasting and environmental reporting within the Utilities section.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provision of engineering advice and services to internal/external customers to agreed standards.
- To carry out designated work packages to standards of safety, cost, quality and time.
- Ensures compliance with legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures.
- Review of plant maintenance strategies, including obsolescence issues and spares management incorporating the Westinghouse Manufacturing System principles.
- Management & maintenance of the Stark Energy Monitoring system.
- Site energy usage reporting and forecasting, including gas electricity and water.
- Verify site energy bills and raise related service entries using SAP.
- Emissions report generation for CHP plant.
- Data collection & collation for the UK-ETS, CCA & CHPQA Permits.
- Actively promote Nuclear Safety Culture / HuP tools / 5 Pillars (LSF) and techniques.
- Active involvement in driving forward improvements in safety, delivery, cost & quality.
- Where appropriate, supervise contractors carrying out work appropriate to the particular sections activities.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Must be proactive and be willing to learn the functions of the site energy management systems and associated processes as well as the technical aspects of the Utilities area.
- Good understanding of computer packages, including excel.
- Evidence of high quality individual contribution towards achieving objectives and improvements.
- Demonstrate commitment for self-development and an enthusiasm for the role.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- PLC experience would be an advantage.
- Previous experience working with large amounts of data and/or databases.
- Understanding of SAP
