Role:

 

Management System Quality Manager

The role is a Senior Quality Management System Specialist who will design, develop and then role out a new integrated management system that remains compliant with our customers and regulators but is lean, fit for purpose and dynamic as our organisation grows to support Westinghouse’s growth ambitions and the UKs role in net zero.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Reportable to the Head of Quality, the role will include an exhaustive review of the existing system, along with internal and external benchmarking, optioneering, development of proposals including business case and then deployment of the new system. It is envisaged that the individual will subsequently manage and own the system in the long term, managing a team of quality engineers, and will be responsible for delivery and execution with associated KPIs. The individual will also require to directly support the quality aspects of new projects including new fuel types, new facilities and new partnerships ensuring compliance with our current and then future systems.

 

Qualification and Experience:

 

The candidate should be an experienced quality professional who has previously managed existing or indeed developed new integrated management systems. Qualified to degree level or equivalent, in engineering, science or business management, with at least 5 years’ experience in quality.

 

Therefore, in depth working knowledge of following standards / requirements:

  • ISO:9001 / 19443,
  • ISO:14001,
  • ISO:45001,
  • ASME: Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications – NQA-1,
  • IAEA General Safety Requirements N°. GSR Part 2: Leadership and Management for Safety.
  • UK Nuclear Licensed site conditions LC-6, LC-17, LC-36 (and the applicable ONR guidance).

 

Working knowledge of:

  • Electronic Document Management Systems,
  • Internal & External Audits,
  • Corrective Action Management,
  • Management Reviews.

 

Personal Qualities

  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to the field of quality
  • High standards and expectations in their approach to work
  • Demonstrable project management experience from conception to final execution.
  • Chartered Quality Professional (CQI) desirable
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Able to prioritise and manage own workload and work concurrently on several projects
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to establish relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
