Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages On-Site Construction: including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract implementation, construction activities, commissioning, and transition to commercial operation.
  • Supports the management of specific portions of project budget, schedule, overall Construction and Site Safety (both Personnel and Environmental) and can provide accurate, concise updates to management.
  • Involved in major complex generation projects focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) typically exceeding $50M.
  • Dominion’s On-Site Field Representative to administer contract to ensure EPC, General and Sub-Contractors install in accordance with IFC drawings, contract, schedule, and budget while overseeing Personnel and Environmental Safety (OSHA, SPCC and SWPPP) and Quality Assurance.
  • Projects are within Dominion Energy’s service territories and typically last a few years each, therefore, the day-to-day office location will be the project site.
  • Drive provided goals for internal team and achieve performance-based results.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a hands on Project Management role
  • Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor, other education: Business, Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
  • Experience with substation interconnection, distribution, and transmission.
  • Knowledge and experience with SCADA systems and IT related software.
  • Possess leadership skills with a project team or multiple teams.
  • Skilled in implementing and managing new construction and/or improvement projects.
  • Well versed in reading/interpreting IFC drawings (Construction, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical)
    Strong Safety background (Personnel and Environmental)
  • Familiar with rigging and handling operations for heavy/critical lifts.
