Position Description

This role is for an SAP Planner which is under the Projects umbrella of the Energy Supply group. This person will create work orders, purchase requisitions, and non work order PRs for our engineers in SAP. The team works off a workbook that they populate and submit to us. We also monitor some of the metric reports, one of which is called an inactive report; if a project has gone 90 days without any spend activity, it shows up on this report. We monitor that report and work with the project leads to get the projects off that report or to resolve any issues. The other report is the missing completes report; Once we have placed something in service, we have 90 days to complete it and if they haven't completed it within those 90 days, it shows up on that metric report. Again, this person/team will work with the project leads to find out why it hasn’t been completed yet, when will it be completed, and we help them resolve anything such as submitting extensions, submitting the closeout for them. We partner with business area finance, business area accounting and with Capital asset accounting and supply chain regularly. We also just took over generating WBS elements or requesting the generation of them via our MDO (master data online) tool. We do we do a lot of the hands on for anything SAP related for our project engineers and our project leads. The hiring leader is not requiring that the person be an SAP or MDO expert, however, is looking for people who have that critical analysis, critical thinking and root cause analysis skill set. We do have a lot of situations that are 1 off, something could be like what they’ve done before, with maybe one little piece that is different from the “normal”. This resource will need to work to understand the intricacies of each item. They also need to be able to work with varying personalities as we have a lot of project leads and they all do things differently.

 

Looking for: 

 

Candidate must have strong proficiency in Microsoft office, Excel/Word, strong professionalism and strong written and verbal communication skills. Must poses root cause analysis, critical thinking/analysis skills which includes taking initiative to ask questions to figure things out. Even with little to no experience, this resource must still exhibit workplace etiquette.
