Your Day-to-Day:

The project is based at the Cherokee Station plant, located approximately 10 miles north of downtown Denver. The facility, which was completed in 2021, is a zero liquid discharge (ZLD) facility. Since its construction, the facility has encountered numerous issues, particularly with excess water management.

Scope of Work: The primary goal of this project is to develop and implement long-term solutions for treating the excess water at Cherokee Station. This involves working closely with engineering firms to evaluate and finalize the specifications for various technologies, such as brine concentrators, mechanical evaporators, and electric boilers.

Deliverables:

• Supporting Operations: Understanding how the facility operates, troubleshooting issues, and communicating effectively with on-site personnel.
• Developing Long-Term Solutions: The most critical task is to devise and execute a sustainable solution for remediating the excess water.
• Managing Contractors: Overseeing the engineering contractors and any additional contractors involved in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Wastewater Treatment Expertise: While not mandatory, experience in wastewater treatment is highly desirable.
  •  On-Site Engagement: Regularly visiting the site to gain a thorough understanding of the facility's operations.
  •  Troubleshooting and Communication: Addressing operational issues and maintaining clear communication with the site team.
  • Technology Evaluation: Assessing various technologies to determine the best long-term solution for water remediation.
  •  Contractor Management: Coordinating engineering firms and managing the contractors to ensure the project stays on track.

Who You Are:

• Strong Communication Skills: Essential for coordinating with various teams, contractors, and upper management. The ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively is crucial.
• Engineering Degree: Preferably in mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering. A strong technical background is important for understanding and solving the facility's issues.
• Project Management Experience: Ideally, 5-7 years of strong project management experience. Candidates with 2-3 years of wastewater treatment experience may also be considered, even with less project management experience.
• Work Ethic and Curiosity: A strong work ethic, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are highly valued. These traits are important for adapting to the project's needs and continuously improving processes.
