<span 72="">Commodity Manager


<span 72="">Provide daily management to category/commodities assigned and ensure proper development and execution of comprehensive category/commodity strategies that exceed both short term and long-term targets. Accountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within commodities. Responsible for developing Category/commodity strategy and playbook. Responsible for management of strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process and accountable for monitoring supplier risk across all responsible commodities. Engage with Project and B&P teams to support Projects and new product development (NPD) initiatives.

<span 72="">Your Day to Day:

<span 72="">Align with regional and sector functional stakeholders to incorporate product and manufacturing strategies into category/commodity strategy while gaining leadership support


<span 72="">Lead category/commodity development and execute comprehensive category/commodity strategies that exceed both short term and long-term targets


<span 72="">Accountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within commodities - exceed spend under long-term agreement and supplier rationalization targets


<span 72="">Partner with Regional and Sector Procurement teams to ensure delivery of productivity - lead countermeasures aligned to commodities and regions/sector


<span 72="">Responsible for management of strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation


<span 72="">Partner with strategic suppliers and Supplier Performance Engineers to complete detailed capacity analysis - align plant project and forecasting requirements with suppliers to efficiently ensure continuity of supply


<span 72="">Engage with NPD/B&P Procurement teams to support new product development (NPD) and new technology introduction (NTI), through preferred supplier and SRM programs


<span 72="">Accountable for monitoring supplier risk across all responsible commodities while developing and maintaining detailed mitigation plans for critical components and at-risk suppliers


<span 72="">Accountable for reporting and managing of category/commodity inflation, both mitigation and recovery


<span 72="">Create and maintain category/commodity playbooks across assigned categories to present during Quarterly Category/commodity Reviews (QCR)


<span 72="">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

<span 72="">• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field

<span 72="">• Advanced degree preferred.

<span 72="">• 5 to 8 years’ experience Supply Chain/Procurement

<span 72="">5+ years’ experience in Category/commodity Management with large scale, complex, and/or regional/global categories of spend

<span 72="">Strong analytic experience with demonstrated success in assessing, negotiating, and managing suppliers

<span 72="">Experience with large complex cross functional projects

<span 72="">Direct experience in the development and management of a global supply base is preferred

<span 72="">Professional communications; both verbal and written are required. Demonstrated ability to lead executive presentations for Senior Leadership required.

<span 72="">Global Business Thinking/Strategizing-Demonstrates deep global knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, emerging markets and technology, builds this knowledge into GSC strategies/playbooks, develops global talent.

<span 72="">Problem Solving—Identifies/anticipates potential problems, supports root cause analysis, evaluates robustness of corrective action plan and oversees plan implementation.

<span 72="">Relationship Management – Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional partners, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationship with industry peers and suppliers, and reinforces GSC lead on “Westinghouse voice” to the supply base. A
