About the role:
As a Commercial Grade Dedication Engineer you will be a technical leader, providing oversight, review, and governance of supplier CGD programs. You will ensure commercial-grade items used in safety-related applications meet design, regulatory, and quality requirements. You will focus on approval of supplier CGD plans and procedures—not performing dedication.
You will report to the Manager of Procurement Engineering and is a hybrid role that can located at Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA (open to other Westinghouse locations as long as candidate is in a reasonable distance to commute). This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of two days in the office per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine safety function and critical characteristics using design documentation
- Review supplier CGD procedures, plans, and methodologies
- Evaluate technical adequacy of item determinations, critical characteristics, and methods
- Ensure compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, and EPRI guidance
- Resolve technical gaps, risks, and nonconformances
- Work with suppliers, EPC partners, and engineering teams
- Integrate CGD requirements into design, procurement, and construction processes
- Develop guidance, training, and best practices
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Civil, or related)
- 15+ years of nuclear industry experience
- Expertise in CGD and procurement engineering
- Knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, nuclear QA, and EPRI CGD guidance
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000.
