As a Category Manager, AP1000 Structures you will be the supply chain commercial subject matter expert for AP1000 structural modules (WBS 2). The Category Manager will support and be accountable for all bid and proposal efforts, sourcing strategies and implementation, including development of main suppliers, both domestic and international, to deliver the best value to the AP1000 project.
You will report to the Manager-AP1000 Structural Category and be located at in or around Rock Hill, SC or Charlotte, NC. This will be a remote position but will require 10-20% domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary relationship owner for AP1000 structural module suppliers.
- You will develop an overall category strategy to meet organizational goals by improving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while securing supply continuity through identifying and mitigating current and potential risks and opportunities in the commodity plan.
- Lead the execution of the category strategy through preferred supplier list (PSL), “right-sizing” non-preferred suppliers, and rewarding preferred partners with business awards tied to Long-term Agreements (LTA) with year over year improvements in cost, delivery, quality, service, and profitability.
- Lead negotiations for supplier agreement, inclusive of Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, Preferred Supplier Agreements, Teaming Agreements.
- You will Review analysis from Power BI and other tools to create insights into the drivers of assigned commodity and possible effects for spend and cost projections to use as levers with our supply base.
- Conduct regular business reviews (SRM) with main and strategic suppliers with teams and senior leadership.
- Create presentations for supplier relationship management reviews, commodity strategies, risk mitigation proposals, 4-Blockers, and supplier/commodity gap analysis.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience (preferably within industries with large engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in negotiations including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development
- Benchmark, Market Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, and Procurement Projects Management skills
- Experience with vendor management including purchase order issuance, execution, and administration
