About the role:
As the Engineering Manager for the Energy Storage Project, you will provide leadership to multi-discipline engineering project team managing the delivery of Pump Thermal Energy Storage (PTES) projects.
You will report to the Director of BOP Mechanical and Chemical Engineering for Plant Engineering. You will work hybrid based in Rock Hill, SC. No relocation provided. We can consider candidates able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.
Responsibilities:

Provide oversite and direction to a team of multi-discipline engineers

Work with external and company partners on technical and resources issues

Understand what the customer is looking to solve with Westinghouse clean energy solutions and provide the right solution based on specific needs with the appropriate cost factors. Work with customers to map Westinghouse products and capabilities to customers' needs.

Support prioritization of engineering tasks, execution time, and implementation costs

Provide guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel and partners

Lead a team of engineers for complex project tasks and deliverables

Ensure best practices, lessons learned, and improvement are achieved in project performance and margins

Implement training plans, by working with engineering disciplined leadership

Develop the next generation of engineers to ensure the future Westinghouse

Mentor teams to aid in their development, project performance and work satisfaction
Qualifications:
-
10+ years of experience including positions of leadership
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.

Technical project leadership role(s) w/challenging situations and complex tasks
-
Power plants and the balance of plant power systems, technical understanding of components, and the design function of components in a system

Work w/ partners coordinating projects
