About the role:
As an entry level Mechanical Engineer, you will perform thermal-hydraulic and piping networks engineering design and analysis for mega-projects or advanced reactors like developing pump, valve, heat exchanger, HVAC and other equipment sizing requirements for plant design or modifications.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Reactor and Safety Systems for the Nuclear Process & Pwr Conversion Systems Department. This is a hybrid position based in Rock Hill, SC. No relocation provided. We can consider candidates able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.
Responsibilities:

Perform thermal-hydraulic and piping networks engineering design and analysis for mega-projects or advanced reactors.

Develop pump, valve, heat exchanger, HVAC, or other equipment sizing requirements for plant design or modifications.

Identify problems and propose solutions to projects and tasks that are assigned.

Support more senior engineering personnel in multiple design and analysis efforts.

Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate technical lead and management.

Collaborate with construction, I&C, electrical, and operations project teams with internal or external representation.

Participate in customer, vendor, and regulator meetings to present technical materials and justification of services and product designs.

Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear)

Minimum 3.0 GPA

MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA

Travel

Interested in pursuing Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or Professional Engineer License
