Job Responsibilities 

  • Licensing and Regulatory support during decommissioning and dismantling activities for nuclear plants and facilities.
  • Planning and execution of decommissioning and dismantling activities for nuclear plants and facilities.
  • Understanding of the radiological characterization, segmentation techniques, in-plant materials lifting, handling, sorting and packaging according to the nuclear requirements.
  • Working with designing and planning of dismantling processes, specifying equipment, writing technical and licensing documentation, estimating costs and durations, and, in field, supervising execution activities.
  • Working on the projects in Europe (mainly in Spain) however there may be a chance to work for Japan, Korea, Canada and USA as well.

 

Minimum Requirements (education, years of experience, certifications, etc.) 

  • Education at university level in engineering or science degree.
  • Additional training or specialization in the nuclear field would be valuable.
  • Some experience on nuclear facilities licensing processes is required.
  • Some experience on decommissioning of nuclear facilities would be an added value.
  • Good writing and speaking skills in Spanish and English is required, French, Dutch, Italian and/or German would be a benefit.
  • Use of databases and design of sampling plans and use of geostatistical analysis codes would also be a benefit.
