About the role:

As a Decommissioning Project Controls you will have an important role, as part of the project direction team.

You will be the Garoña NPP Decommissioning Deputy Project Director.

You will join the D&D Southern Europe BU and be located at Madrid, Spain.

You will report to the Manager D&D Southern Europe, and be located at Madrid.

Hybrid work schedule.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in periodic team meetings to guide the processes of updates sharing between the team and follow-up of the progress in the different project disciplines.

  • Analyse possible deviations to design the applicable action plan when needed, coordinate upcoming actions.

  • Review adherence to the scheduled plan, coordinate schedule updates with the Schedule Technician and when applicable with the customer.

  • Participate on document reviews and follow-up of the internal review processes before submission of project deliverables to the client.

  • Customer engagement: participate in project meetings (both technical and contractual) with the client, on site in the NPP when needed.

  • Track records of the agreed decisions, updates to the technical strategy and appointed actions.

  • Plan and propose meetings, in liaison with the team as needs arise, to clarify doubts and ensure understanding of the customer.

  • Channel communications between the customer and applicable team leads and members and suppliers.

  • Supplier management: manage the appointment and follow-up of required suppliers (mainly engineering support services) for the Project.

  • Prepare the periodic reports for the customer managing all aspects to be captured for the follow-up of the Project.

  • Participate in periodic meetings with the consortium partners to present and discuss the main updates (technical, finance and contractual) and keep track of any applicable consortium-level actions.

  • Westinghouse internal reporting: manage internal project follow-up and associated project controls requirements (cost analysis, invoicing orders, purchase orders, risks evaluations...)

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or financials, project management, or a related discipline.

  • 2 + years of experience in the nuclear sector.

  • Understanding of scheduling, cost management, risk analysis, project performance analytics...

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).

  • Desire to grow as Project Manager or Project Control specialist.

  • Familiarity with Westinghouse policies, procedures and management tools such as SAP/Ariba...

  • Availability to travel (mainly National with eventual international trips).
