About the role:
As an Electrical Systems Engineering Intern you will perform electrical engineering evaluations and analyses to support the operation and decommissioning of the nuclear power plants.
You will report to the Plant Electrical & Control Systems Manager and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de Los Reyes. This is a hybrid internship with a mix of 50% on-site and 50% remote days that may be set at your discretion. This is a part-time paid internship from November 2025 (6-9 months), with the possibility to receive course credit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in electrical and instrumentation and control projects
- Perform electrical engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services to support operation of the nuclear power plants
- Develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants
- Understand and help define project modification to DC and AC power systems
- Interpret electrical plans
- Conduct probabilistic risk assessment on nuclear reactors
- Participate in integrated and international project teams and communicate with involved parties
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, Nuclear Engineering
- Experience or knowledge with electrical systems, IEEE or IEC codes
- Proficiency in Spanish and English
