Job Responsibilities

Westinghouse is looking for a civil engineer include for the Civil-Structural Department to perform the following activites:

• Site manager in charge of supervision of construction works related with radioactive waste management systems.
• Preparation of engineering documents (calculations, construction project plans, licensing documents, and procurement specifications).
• Development of health and safety plan/study for civil or system projects.
• Development/management of system/facility requirements, support of process optimization initiatives.
• Participation in preparation of proposals (technical descriptions, calculation of efforts, client requirement identification and management).
• Meetings with suppliers at pre-design, specification development and/or fabrication stages.
• Supervision of the assembly and testing of design modifications.
• Support to the Client’s site to resolve problems.
• Offers evaluation and follow up and approval of the supplier’s documentation.
• Participation in international teams.

Minimum Requirements

A successful candidate is required to possess:

• A civil-structural engineer with an associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
• Master's in occupational risk prevention.
• 5 years of experience supervising construction projects.
• Fluent in English/Spanish with proven reporting skills.
• MS Office products knowledge.
• Strong technical interest, predisposition for multi-tasking, flexibility, understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel (internationally).
• Driving License.
