About the role:
As a senior engineer you will be responsible for report development, application configuration, patching and support managing updates and security for the Westinghouse PowerBI environment. This is a full-time job.
You will report to the Report and analytics manager and be located at our HQ in Madrid. This is a hybrid role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements, performing development and testing activities.
- Maintain documentation on all reports.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team, end-users, IT, and other tasks within Westinghouse.
- Research, test and recommend settings/configurations for PowerBI.
- Provision User and Group access in the PowerBI Cloud Service.
- Intake, implement datasources across multiple systems.
- Install, configure and test additional PowerBI Data Gateways while following Westinghouse design standards.
- Manage user and group permissions, workspaces and apps, data sources and data connections.
- Complete root cause analysis for repetitive issues to prevent future occurrences.
- Responsible for systems monitoring and general support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2 - 4 years experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Prior experience with PowerBI on-premise Data Gateway.
- We value prior experience configuring PowerBI with SAP HANA.
- We value experience with data modeling and PowerBI dashboard/app development.
- Analytical skills with the ability to analyze information.
- Communicate best practices for optimized PowerBI solutions.
- Work with other technical resources to troubleshoot software and hardware issues/failures.
- Documentation skills and ability to create training and job aide material.
- Complete work on time and within budget.
- Provide high-quality support within Service level agreement.
- Clear communicator.
