Mechanical Design Engineer II

About the role:

As a Mechanical Designer Engineer II, you will collaborate with and receive direction from engineering personnel on applying engineering concepts of mechanical, systems and structural designs into practicable functional graphics.

You will report to the Product Design manager and be located at the headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a full-time role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for different tasks within the projects and us.

• Review analyzes and activities of other colleagues.

• Use 3D & 2D Parametric Design programs and mechanical analysis tools.

• Calculate dimensions, tolerances, fit, slopes and weights... Using experimental engineering information and formula.

• Apply the corresponding regulations and standards to its work and calculations

• Participate and collaborate with other teams or disciplines within the different areas of the Team in diverse projects.

• Design and validation of diverse equipment in component engineering.

• Coordinate the different tasks assigned to their area, providing engineering solutions to designs and products.

• Assume the responsibility of interlocutor with clients and colleagues and identify new business opportunities.

• Develop a culture of collaboration and knowledge growth within the team.

• Provide estimates and technical information of the designs and solutions adopted.

• Manage drawings, calculations and technical delivery to the client.

• Represent and give voice to the engineering team in meetings and presentations.

• Participate in project and team coordination meetings.

• Occasionally, take on-site measurement and data, assistance to walk-downs, and support installation.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

• 10+ years of experience in industrial projects.

• Experience using the following software: AutoCAD; parametric design Inventor, Solidworks or CREO; PLM Vault, SW PDM or Windchill, Ansys.

• You are EU citizen or authorized to work in Spain.

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
