About the role:
- As a Nondestructive Test (NDT) Developing Engineer you will be specialized in the development of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) techniques.
- You will report to the NDT Technology Manager and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes fully on-site/in-office. This is a full-time role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Development of inspection techniques in the laboratory, primarily using ultrasonic testing (UT).
- Preparation and validation of inspection procedures.
- Participation in projects within the nuclear sector, focused on metallic materials and welds.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduate in science or technical fields (e.g., Physics, Materials Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering).
- Experience in the development and application of inspection procedures (preferably using ultrasonic testing).
- Ability to prepare technical justifications for procedure validation.
Key Competencies:
- Initiative to propose and lead the development of new inspection processes and techniques.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
- Good command of spoken and written English (minimum level B2).
- Availability for occasional travel, both within Spain and abroad.
Highly Valued (additional):
- Experience in the inspection of metallic materials and welds.
- Experience in procedure qualification process.
- UT Level II or III certification according to ISO 9712.
- Knowledge of Phased-Array UT or TOFD.
- Familiarity with NDE modeling software (CIVA, Beam Tool, Ultravision, etc.)
- Familiarity with international UT inspection standards (ASME, ISO, ENIQ, RCC-MR…).
