About the role:

As a Nuclear Operations Intern you will work on the new generation of reactors like the AP300 SMR and eVinci microreactor, the new fleet of AP1000® and the operating fleet from all over the world. Building your skills based on actual operating plant experience in the field, combined with new plant development, will be a major accelerator for your career in the nuclear industry. This is a 25 hours per week paid internship, with start date in September with a total duration of 6 months.

You will report to the Reactor Engineering & Test Procedures Manager and be located at our offices in Madrid. This is a hybrid position and you will be eligible to receive course credit.

Main Responsibilities:

• You will acquire knowledge about integrated plant operations to develop the way control room operators run plants with operating procedures.
• You will work with industry professionals who will teach you the technical and professional aspects of working in the nuclear industry.
• Your scope will include the operating fleet (integrating operating experience and new scenarios) and the next generation of nuclear plants (SMR and microreactors), giving you learning and development opportunities in both worlds.

Qualifications:

• Work toward a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Fluent in Technical English.
