About the role:
As a Senior Engineer you will perform electrical engineering evaluations and analyses to support the operation of the nuclear power plants.
You will report to the Plant Electrical & Control Systems (PE&CS) Manager and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes. The role is hybrid with the possibility to combine work from home and in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a member of the Plant Electrical & Control Systems (PE&CS) group performing electrical engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services to support operation of the nuclear power plants
- Design electrical systems, power distribution and control systems
- Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and relay coordination studies
- Specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, motors and protection systems
- Develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants
- Define project modification to DC and AC power systems
- Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and relay coordination studies
- Propose solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects
- Participate in integrated and international project teams and communicate with involved parties
- Occasionally travel to customer sites or to Industry Group Workshops (to gather or present technical information)
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Energy, or Nuclear Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical systems (power systems, industrial automation)
- Nuclear power plant knowledge or nuclear energy master
- Proficiency in electrical design software (ETAP), IEEE or IEC codes
- English proficiency
