About the role:
As a Risk Analysis Intern you will report to the Senior Manager, Risk Analysis and be located at the at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a part-time and paid internship from October 2025 (6-8 months), with the possibility to receive course credit.
As a Risk Analysis Intern you will support Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA) for nuclear power plant systems; evaluate a plant's potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (seismic, fire, flooding) for a variety of domestic, international, and new-design plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PSA tasks for a variety of hazard types using software tools such as RiskSpectrum and CAFTA
- Review plant operating procedures, system/layout documents, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), cable routes, and other material to understand plant systems and operation
- Perform database population/management and data analysis tasks using a variety of tools
- Perform code validation testing activities
- Work with global project teams by contributing to technical scope execution, including documentation of analyses and meeting schedule and financial goals
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Energy, Nuclear)
- Fluent in Spanish and English
