About the role:

As a Senior SSA Engineer, you will perform engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services to support operation of the nuclear power plants in the nuclear safety and performance field. This is a full-time job.

You will report to the SSA Manager and be located at our HQ in Madrid. We will also value if you are located in Vila-Seca. This is a hybrid position.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of engineering tasks to help operate nuclear power plants. These tasks include preparation of inputs to run thermo-hydraulic codes for transient analyses. Additionally, evaluation of emergency operation procedures changes and control systems studies, among others.
• Develop proficiency in thermo-hydraulic calculations for transient analyses and for systems evaluations.
• Assessment capability of dose calculations and radiological consequences of accidents.
• Experience running codes for safety analyses purposes.
• Document analyses.
• Propose solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects.
• Help prepare licensing documentation.
• Participate to integrated and international project teams and communicate with involved parties.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites or to Industry Group Workshops (to gather or present technical information).
• Knowledge of the Spanish nuclear regulatory body and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering, Physics; Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineer or Nuclear Engineering.
• More than 7 years of experience in safety analysis for nuclear power plants or systems design.
• Apply fundamental engineering principles (including fluid mechanics and thermodynamics).
• Technical interest, predisposition for understand the project priorities and teamwork abilities required.
• Fluent in English.
• We value experience with codes (CFD, TRAC/RELAP, GOTHIC, MAAP, MELCOR) and programming skills.
