About the role:

As a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer, you will support supplier performance and delivery by providing hands‑on technical follow‑up, issue resolution, and compliance monitoring. You will work with suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams to help manage technical issues, to achieve quality, to support risk mitigation activities, and contribute to reliable, compliant deliveries. This is a full-time job.

 

You will report to the supplier manager and be located at Santander. This is a remote position

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Supplier Oversight Plans including witness and hold‑point strategy, and oversight cost estimates.

  • Perform remote and on-site supplier oversight, completing witness and hold points, documenting results, issuing oversight reports and required actions, and coordinating quality surveillance with Westinghouse Supplier Quality.

  • Evaluate suppliers for nuclear‑grade products by assessing manufacturing facilities against code's and Westinghouse's technical and quality requirements (NQA‑1, 10 CFR 50 App. B, 10 CFR 21, ASME Section III and Westinghouse procedures).

  • Coordinate supplier development and qualification for new products/process including risk identification and mitigation

  • Create scorecards and procurement reports to monitor supplier performance and compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.

  • Lead supplier corrective actions, opening SCARs, driving root‑cause analysis (8D), verifying preventive and corrective actions, and overseeing Performance Improvement Plans.

  • Coordinate technical issues and escalate risks and major quality events to WBS organization, providing manufacturing technical expertise

  • Review supplier documentation including procedures, deviations, nonconformance reports, technical records, and quality assurance documentation.

  • Verify correct flow down of technical and quality requirements in the PO.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or related Engineering discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience in nuclear manufacturing or similarly regulated heavy industries.

  • Knowledge of nuclear codes and standards (ASME Section III preferred).

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as forming, machining, welding, NDE, assembly, and testing.

  • Experience leading multiple cross‑functional, international projects.

  • Commitment to personal, industrial, and nuclear safety.

  • Willing to perform oversight at the supplier's workshop

  • Willing to support business trips to other suppliers' facilities up to 20% (typical trips 2–5 days)
