Software Project Manager, Digital Optimization Solutions

About the role:

As a Project Manager for Digital Optimization Solutions you will manage low to medium complexity projects (typically below $5M in value) within the Plant Reliability and Software Projects organization and provide Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to nuclear and non-nuclear utilities, including software for thermal performance and condition monitoring, and digital work management. You will also lead a small team of 3-10 members.

You will report to the Manager of Projects and Digital Technology and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a full-time role.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full cycle project management processes, including authoring project plans and managing scope, schedule, cost baselines, communications, stakeholder registers during the project proposal, initiation, and execution phases, close of projects, document management, project quality assessment, reporting, and improvements
  • Per the Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR)
  • With the support of a mentor
• Support customer conversations and negotiations for topics associated with assigned projects
• Assume overall responsibility for profitability of assigned contracts
  • Prepare or oversee project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections (including Earned Value Management)
  • Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope
• Interpret and transmit contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to help develop project-specific deliverables and communicate with teams following an integrated change management process
• Develop or oversee project records in standard databases and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation internally and externally
• Example projects: New customer software implementation and onboarding, software maintenance, centralized monitoring and diagnostics services, and procedure and work package digitalization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline
• 1+ years of project management or related experience in a technical field
  • Westinghouse Project Manager qualification to be completed within 12 months of hire
• Familiar with the Project Management Institute (PMI®)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge
• Experience with project management tools: SAP, Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and Active Risk Manager
• Basic knowledge of nuclear power plants and utility operations, maintenance and engineering practices
• Ability to travel internationally (5-10%)
