About the role:
As a Valve Leak Testing Technician, you will join the Valve Testing Area within Westinghouse Field Services, supporting specialized valve testing activities primarily at nuclear power plants and industrial facilities. You will be trained and qualified as a Valve Testing Technician, actively participating in the execution and supervision of valve leak testing and functional testing activities. The role includes working with testing equipment and instrumentation, performing calibrations, and preparing technical and quality documentation while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence. Regular national and occasional international travel is required to support customer operations.
You will report to the Valve Testing Manager and be located in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid, Spain. This position is onsite and requires frequent travel to customer facilities and project locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and supervise valve leak testing activities in accordance with approved procedures and customer requirements.
- Install, configure, and verify pressure, flow, and other instrumentation required for testing activities.
- Perform functional testing of valves and support troubleshooting activities when required.
- Prepare, calibrate, maintain, and verify testing equipment and instrumentation to ensure accurate performance.
- Develop technical procedures, testing reports, and quality dossiers associated with completed activities.
Qualifications:
- Vocational Training (FP Superior) in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.
- One or more years of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, instrumentation, testing activities, or a similar technical environment is preferred.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Experience with calibration, maintenance, or operation of industrial instrumentation and testing equipment.
- Availability for national and international travel.
- Eligibility to work as a Radiation Worker (Professional Exposed to Ionizing Radiation).
- Previous experience supporting activities at nuclear power plants is highly desirable.
