Working within Westinghouse Springfields – Training Team to support the training delivery plan, supporting the wider site with planning and booking of the specified legislative and regulated training. The role will involve liaison with internal trainers and external training providers of course required to ensure the specified health and safety, regulated and site licensing requirements. The Training Team is located within the Enterprise Excellence Team located within the Training Academy on site. This role will be working under the supervision of the Training Manager.
Role Purpose
The role is to support the management of site compliance by ensuring training is planned, scheduled and delivered. To provide an oversight, support and guidance to all staff at Westinghouse - Springfields of the training required within the site standards and to be delivered to meet safety requirements of the business.
Act as the training compliance services including the development of the course schedule in line with the business requirements to ensure compliance meeting current legislation and accreditation.
Deliverables
- Provision of agreed services to internal/external customers to the agreed standards including timeline management.
- Provide advice and guidance on issues appropriate to functionality of the training programme.
- Use Company systems to manage the designated work packages to meet standards of safety, cost, time and quality
- Proactively look to improve the systems in the working area utilising best practice.
- Where appropriate, day to day organisation of business support within business area including, where applicable, guiding and supporting others
- Organisation of own work with limited reference upwards. Where applicable, anticipate and deal with arising issues according to procedures and laid down parameters, re-route tasks and monitor them
- Will maintain and develop good contacts with individuals/organisations at all levels internal and external to the Company
- Where appropriate, may contribute to the formulation of budgetary information and procedures by gathering the required information and scheduling of payments.
- Promoting and monitoring a safe environment/good housekeeping of the working area.
- Where appropriate, train and develop others to appropriate standards to meet the current legislative, legal and licencing requirements.
- Complies with all legislative, regulatory and company procedures and standards e.g. safety, quality, risk, security etc. appropriate to the role
- Support meetings with the required reports and feedback for monitoring.
Indicators of Performance
· Achievement against standards and targets within the Training Team
· Evidence of implementation of appropriate improvements to systems and processes utilising the technology of the company systems.
· Evidence of guidance or advice/support and issues resolved promptly.
· Evidence of timely contribution and the assessment of quality and relevance including current regulations, legislation and company standards.
· Proactively benchmarking systems and initiating improvements against internal/external systems ensuring that the required standards are maintained to meet audit requirements
· Adheres to all legislative, regulatory and company procedures and standards e.g. safety, quality, risk management, site licence.
Requirement
- As a minimum will be educated to 5 GCSE/National Qualification standards or a equivalent.
- Experience and knowledge of regulated training and working with other departments within in an organisation to
- Experience of working with e-learning systems and course management bookings would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Learning and Development portals and course content.
- Strong IT skills with the ability to Microsoft Office including Excel with ability to interpret data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to give help and advice to others.
- Organised and the ability to multi-task different priorities, working well independently using you own initiative.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible in your approach to enable you to support different teams across a number of production and maintenance disciplines.
