As Operations Supervisor you will be the first line of management responsible for the people and the plant in a COMAH facility. You will coordinate production safely, manage the people, and managing cost and quality. You will address operational issues, maintain compliance with quality standards and ensure completion of activities within the area. You will be the leader and will make decisions for the team during the shift, providing assistance to the team through coaching and mentoring.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Enforce all safety rules and procedures to ensure safe operations within the plants.

  • Plan and execute daily plant operations.

  • Conduct safety briefs, safety inspections and observations.

  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

  • Manage inventory levels.

  • Responsible for accurate event reporting.

  • Carry out problem solving.

  • Coach plant personnel.

  • Mentor apprentices.

  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement within the area.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Supervisory experience within a chemical plant.

  • Ability to identify issues and decide upon the required actions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • IT competent

  • High standards towards their own work and the teams work.

  • Enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
