About the role:

As a Quality Manager you will covers a number of possible positions including liaison with the site audit team, managing project quality for large complex EPC contracts, managing quality in operational delivery areas or supporting the management of the site QMS development and delivery. The Quality Manager must maintain a level of independence to enable appropriate ability to challenge management and to act as the conscious of the business.

You will report to the Russell Wallace and be located at Springfield

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management Systems• Providing assurance that effective quality management systems, that are established and implemented, meet stakeholder requirements and enable delivery to meet customer specifications. Ensuring that the requirements of the Quality Programme are effectively communicated and implemented within their area of responsibility (for both on site and off site activities).• Enhancing the quality culture by engaging with relevant stakeholders, delivery of appropriate level of communications, briefs and visits in order to increase understanding and importance of establishing a successful quality culture.
  • Assurance• Providing confirmation that products/outputs/deliverables meet specified requirements – through certification and/or verification of inputs, processes and /or outputs (and ensuring the rejection of nonconforming materials, products or services).
  • Investigation and Improvement• Development, implementation and reporting Key Performance Indicators that effectively demonstrate the quality of delivery performance in their area of responsibility, in order to identify deviations and opportunities for continuous improvement, and demonstrate the success/effectiveness of improvement programmes.
  • Records Management• Ensuring that key business and project records are managed in a manner that conforms with both legal and contractual requirements.
  • Supplier Management• Providing assurance that Westinghouse quality requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers, and that suppliers are delivering to our specifications. This includes testing that relevant specification requirements are cascaded and disseminated to appropriate levels within the supply chain.
  • Capability• For achieving demonstrable levels of competence in line with the competency requirements for the role, and for maintaining skill levels through continued professional development and training.

 

Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry and all relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Quality Management procedures and best practices
  • Excellent working knowledge of setting up of Quality Management systems and processes.
  • Good knowledge of Design, Vendor, Construction, NEC3 Data Processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Systematic and logical approach to tasks.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal plus analytical & problem-solving skills.
