As Furnace Rebuild Supervisor you will work in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders, and the Engineering Team to coordinate the rebuild, repair and maintenance of sintering furnaces.

To work with maintenance employees, operations departments and external contractors. You will organize, monitor and supervise the rebuild activities.

You will ensure that the rebuild team follow all maintenance and safety standards while performing their responsibilities.

You will report to the Plant Manager and be located at Springfields Fuel site.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prioritizing, assigning in all tasks related to furnace rebuilds.
  • Hands-on approach to rebuild activities.
  • Partner with the project team.
  • Participate in daily update meeting and present rebuild status and report any issues.
  • Support and deliver improvements to the rebuild process, focusing on safety, quality, schedule and cost.
  • Engage with the risk management process to help mitigate risks to the rebuild, whilst ensuring that the rebuild scope is being adhered to.
  • Lead the commissioning and qualification activities after the rebuild is complete.
  • Support the update of documentation relating to furnace rebuilds.
  • Identify, quote and order spare parts and tooling relating to rebuild activities.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering qualification(s) ONC/L3 Maintenance Craftperson
  • Working knowledge of maintenance systems.
  • Ability to execute activities ensuring safety and quality standards are being adhered to.
  • Ability to identify issues and delegate resolution actions.
  • Working knowledge of practical continuous improvement.
  • Integrity to report human error promptly and escalate accordingly.
  • Competency with computers inc. MS Office (Microsoft project is preferrable but not essential.
