Supply Chain Contracts Manager

As the subject matter expert in NEC term applied by the UK regulatory authorities, lead the application, formulation and administration of contract terms and conditions (T&Cs) to be applied to various supplier/subcontractor agreements, inclusive of procurements for products, goods and services, with the goal of protecting Westinghouse's commercial interests and supporting internal and external customer projects. Support of sourcing in the disposition of supplier/subcontractor exceptions to T&Cs and negotiation of same.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead a team in supporting the management of supplier and subcontractor terms and conditions (T&C) for all Westinghouse supply chain operations.
· Ensure effective protocols for reviews of supplier/subcontractor deviations to T&Cs for various supply contract types (e.g. Engineered Goods, General Services, Engineering Services, and Logistics)
· Support and lead face-to-face negotiations with suppliers/subcontractors on T&Cs issues, alliance or teaming, and master services agreements, with a focus on indirect complex or high-risk scopes of work. Develop GSCS Contracts staffs to proficiently perform these negotiations.
· Provide input and guidance to Supply Chain on Westinghouse governance procedural requirements affecting Supply Chain operations and procurements
· Ensure all global contract terms template(s) are maintained and updated as appropriate.
· Provide functional interface and strategic point of contact to Westinghouse GSCS, Legal and product line teams on T&Cs issues
· Ensure effective support of proposal development activities involving supply chain (if required)
· Analyze customer contract requirements and support legal and sourcing in developing commercial approach/response
· Working with the Contracts team, develop and implement effective processes to “flowdown” customer contracts requirements to suppliers and subcontractors
· Supervise and coach assigned GSCS Contracts team members
· Represent GSCS Contracts at WEC management meetings, as required
· Provide T&Cs training support
Skills and Competencies:
- 5 year’s related contracts management experience
- 15 years’ project related experience in the fossil or nuclear power plant market and supplier/subcontractor terms and conditions experience preferred
- Must be able to work independently while handling a significant volume and complexity of contracts, supporting all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of Westinghouse baseline commercial and Legal positions preferred
- Strong knowledge of varying contracting forms and terms that align with the scope of the procurements
- Hands on procurement project management, and major contract negotiation in the power market is desired
- Strong communication skills and history of interfacing with multiple functional groups
