Nuclear HVAC Technician

Technicians install and repair heating and air quality systems. They specialize in installation or repair, certain types of systems or equipment.

Education / Training Requirements

• High School diploma
• Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access
• Pass initial and annual Radiation Worker Training
• HVAC training either through an academic program or apprenticeship

Minimum Skill Requirements and Accountabilities

• Follow safe work practices
• Use administrative documents, procedures, data sheets / forms properly
• Practice Foreign Material Exclusion and housekeeping per station directives
• Lead or participate in Pre-Job Briefings
• Certified through the Environmental Protection Agency

HVAC Mechanic  I –Industrial experience

HVAC Mechanic  II – experience and satisfactory performance

HVAC Mechanic  III –experience and satisfactory performance

HVAC Mechanic  IIII –experience and satisfactory performance
