The Innovation Program Manager is required to work closely with the Asia BU Business Development Team, Customer Account Team, Product Managers, and the BU Chief Engineer to lead processes of developing, collecting, and evaluating metrics and business cases for the creation and maintenance of innovation program portfolio. The Program Manager is responsible for leading innovation programs and technology development projects, adopting industry standard process frameworks and tools, ensuring effective project control, resources/cost control, change management, risk management against preset expectations.


The innovation program manager is anticipated to:


  1. Develop & lead processes to create innovation idea, maintain innovation program portfolio, set up business cases, work through stage gates to complete the defined innovation projects on schedule and within budget as planned and approved.
  2. Effectively use project management methods and tools to ensure effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes.
  3. Develop and manage project plans, including scheduling, resourcing, budgeting, and communication.
  4. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress. Establish measurement and reporting framework to review progress with key stakeholders for innovation projects.
  5. In program management, monitor and control resources utilization, costs against budget, drive program advancement against schedule, and ensure to meet the projected business benefits after completion.
  6. Maintains the business case for funding the program and confirms continuing business viability of the program at regular intervals.
  7. Work closely with the BU Supply Chain Organization to contact vendors, manufactures, test facilities, materials and hardware as needed to deliver the required products.
  8. Monitor expenses against budget, provide continuous feedback and financial tracking reports to the BU Financial Leadership.
  9. Maintain a strong Nuclear Safety Culture as defined by Westinghouse as our core values and behaviors resulting to emphasize safety over competing goals to ensure protection of people and the environment.
  10. Provide support interfacing with Westinghouse Digital & Innovation (D&I) organization.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degrees in engineering in related fields.

Advanced degrees such as master’s in business administration (M.Sc.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), USA Professional Engineers Certifications are all pluses.

Years of Experience:

10 years experiences in technical research, or product development, or testing, etc.

Minimum 3 years Project management experiences related to power industry, preferably in nuclear power field. 

Professional Certifications: PMP & Six-sigma Certification are preferred

  1. This role requires significant project management and leadership skills, demonstrated by the ability to influence and lead within a rapidly evolving, cross-functional, highly regulated environment.
  2. This role also requires strong cross-functional business acumen, including technical, marketing, manufacturing, finance, quality, clinical, and regulatory-based knowledge.
