Automation Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, document, implement and maintain essential DCS control systems and components for electric power and distribution networks
• Participate in technical meeting with Project lead to understand Requirement/scope of work/schedule and Quality requirements.
• Basic knowledge of field Devices such as Transmitter, Control Valves, MCC fed Motors/Heater, HT switchgear and their interfaces is better.
• Configuration and Application programming of Performance Calculation Module /package as part of DCS systems used for Fossil based or Nuclear Power Plant. 
• Exposure to deployment of Enterprise Data Integration Software on Server, and Its interface with DCS/PLC’s using standard third-party interface protocols like Modbus, OPC.

Education:

B.S/M.S – Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/I&C Engineering/Automation/ thermal energy and power engineering

Years of Experience:

New graduate or with couple years working experience

Skills & Competencies:

• Any sound knowledge of safety analysis tools such as failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) and cause, effect diagrams (C&E diagrams) and SIL analysis is a plus.
• Experience in commissioning, Installation for DCS project is better.
• Compliance of safety, environmental and quality policy is a must
• The ability to communicate with onshore and offshore team in English to ensure the smooth technical issue discussion
• Understanding of I&C, Nuclear related standards and the analysis of their implications.
• A relevant automation or thermal energy and power engineering Degree or appropriate qualification / experience is desired
• Strong ownership, teamwork and self-motivation is required.
• Education or experience in nuclear industry.
• AB, Siemens PLC knowledge background and experience.
