About the Role : As a Logistics Specialist, Global Logistics, you will be responsible for Project Procurement Management supporting the China Logistics segment and organizing international and inland transportation and executing import & export declarations with customs brokers in accordance with China customs regulations .
This position will include external supplier liaison and working with various Westinghouse teams that execute deliveries with 3rd party logistics companies.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills are required to manage internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Job Description:
- Manage the daily operation of import/export shipments, including freight booking, customs clearance, delivery, trace and track, and shipping document preparation.
- Coordinate with the stakeholders and support collection of the HS coding information of spare parts, equipment and support the HS Code classification.
- Complete the importation feasibility analysis of the equipment and spare parts being shipped with cross functional team .
- Contribute to the establishment of a logistics process based on project requirements .
- Apply for the necessary import permit if any like CCC exemption, import license etc., are required
- Communicate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of importation.
- Arrange the inbound/outbound deliveries with 3rd party warehouse providers .
- Support Customs audit and inspection if necessary .
- Update the Customs Policies timely and evaluate and deliver the updated Customs Policies to the related segments.
- Maintain the related import and export records/reports and ensure completeness and accuracy.
- To work in a way that positively engages the support of stakeholders using problem solving and proactive communication skills to deal with potentially difficult situations.
- Support the China Logistics Lead to evaluate and find the saving opportunity.
- Understand Logistics, Forwarding, Warehouse, and Package business to ensure full compliance.
- Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensure payment.
- Process Purchase Requisitions and create Purchase Orders.
- Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices in due coordination with Accounts Payable.
- Facilitate logistics contract change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, renewals, and termination notices).
- Actively contribute to process & systems improvements identification and implementation.
- Support and promote a culture where a high quality of work is the norm.
- Support Global Logistics Manager and China Logistics Lead for China import & export business.

Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge in SAP system and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with import/export regulation and customs compliance laws in China.
- Knowledge in exemption of China Compulsory Certification will be an advantage.
- Strong sense of compliance and ethics.
- Strong at interpersonal skills, willing to communicate or challenge in a respectful way and seek the alignment among different teams.
- Experience with vendor management including supplier contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from quantitative data.
- Good at seeking additional knowledge, working proactively and with innovating ideas.
- Ability to amicably and professionally resolve disputes with suppliers.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage data and workflows in a database environment.
- Fluent English and Mandarin is necessary.
- An ability to work under pressure with many urgent requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Years of Experience: 5+ years of procurement or global logistics experience
