Principal Project Scheduler - Primavera (Hybrid)

About the role:
As a Principal Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for all project controls activities for a portfolio of low complexity projects or a subset of high complexity projects scope. You will lead teams through all phases of a moderate complexity project serving as a project controls subject matter expert (SME) focusing on project scheduling. Primavera scheduling experience is required
You will report to the Manager for projects based in the Westinghouse Shoreview Component Manufacturing Plant. You will work hybrid requiring 2 days/week on site in Shoreview, MN.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate tasks/deadlines and escalate issues to management

Plan controls aspects of projects like project baselines and risk registers

Use tools and techniques to consider inefficiencies for project optimization

Apply schedule, cost and risk analytics to confirm validity of plan

Lead schedule, cost, and risk activities and communicate project requirements

Process changes following an integrated change control process

Review expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope

Maintain project metrics to ensure team, customer, and partners are informed of project status

Develop systems, databases and procedures to ensure project understanding

Communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance

Be the project controls subject matter expert for internal customer's support

Integrate goals and actions participating in matters of common concern w/ other teams

Implement value-added improvement opportunities which will improve performance

Create and administer lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
-
10+ years of experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience

6 or more years of experience in the position functional/technical area

Primavera scheduling experience
