Design I&C Engineer

For our Bulgarian Site, we're looking for 3 Design I&C Engineers. 

General Job Function:

Apply engineering knowledge in support of design and analysis of portions of technical products and/or services related to specific routine technical assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Author and perform routine engineering design evaluations and analyses with guidance as needed.
• Complete evaluations, analyses and associated documentation with guidance as needed.
• Verify design evaluations and analyses performed by others, as qualified.
• Interface, on a limited basis, with customers, vendors and other internal functional groups on engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
• Interface, on a limited basis, with nuclear regulatory agencies such as NRC, ONR, NNSA, etc. to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
• Obtain results and resolve routine technical problems.
• Identify innovation opportunities and recommend improvements in processes, procedures, innovation projects and assist in implementation.
• Follow established product lifecycle processes and procedures with a focus on ensuring quality of deliverables.
• Identify and assist in development of new products, services and/or business opportunities with guidance.
• Plan and schedule own work to meet assignment requirements within schedule and budgetary requirements.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of industry standard tools and practices such as Human Performance, Nuclear Safety Culture, CAP Corrective Actions Program and Learning Clocks.
• Support the operation in case of technical difficulties on site, or if technical deviation regarding procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
• Understand and promote the safety culture in the company by placing safety as a top priority.
• Understand and apply the Westinghouse quality processes and procedures and ensure compliance with company Quality Management System.
• Understand and proactively use the established company tools for capturing non-conformities and provide suggestions for improvement of the company processes.
• Comply with the company procedures for non-disclosure of both internal and external proprietary information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

• Technical discipline or equivalent
• 2 years, minimum, of applicable engineering experience is required
