Engineering Supervisor

About the role:

As a Engineering Supervisor you will lead the Engineering Team for the Bulgaria and Poland ICS team.

You will report to the Europe Controls & Information Systems Engineering Manager and be located at Sofia, Bulgaria.

Model of work: hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible as the direct supervisor of a Team of 10+ Employees, including supporting engineering design execution.
• Responsible for the operations of the Engineering Team.
• Ensure that the Team standards of quality, including managing the corrective action program.
• Ensure safety standards are met, both regarding a NSC and personnel and Industrial safety.
• Meet reliability and performance in engineering processes.
• Primary technical interface between Westinghouse I&C projects and the management.
• Prepare and identify needed development plans for Engineering Team with emphasis on long-term resource needs.
• Use Westinghouse Global I&C Platform & Product Standards to focus on identifying and targeting engineering skills to guarantee an added value to the customer.
• Scan the environment to verify products, services and design processes are adding value to both the customer and Westinghouse.
• Develop solutions to create customer value in collaboration with appropriate Westinghouse organizations. Identify unmet customer needs through appropriate market channels especially direct customer interaction.
• Oversee and implement process automation projects – identifying “breakthrough” process improvements, technologies and cost improvement goals.
• Review and commit on the as-sold version of allocated hours required to perform engineering scope of work
• Manage the Team with a strategic focus, communicate vision for future and promote team culture. Develop culture that values a safety conscious work environment.
• Orchestrate and improve cost efficient product delivery which meets business plan goals.
• Responsible for group financial performance (including planning and forecast). This would include items like resource productivities and group cost centers / spending.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge in one or more areas of specialization.
• 8+ years of leadership with instrumentation & control experience.
• Experience leading engineering activities and opportunity management, with responsibility for communicating customer feedback, needs, and growth opportunities.
• Demonstrated successful offer development skills in estimating and completing complex projects.
• 5+ years of experience leading diverse and multicultural teams and working with multiple departments.
• Scan the environment to verify products and services are adding value to both the customer and Westinghouse.
• Experience evaluating financial impact and business possible effects of decisions.
• Experience with meeting commitments, achieving goals, and delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines.
• Build consultative relationships with all partners: operations, maintenance and engineering decision-makers to enhance Westinghouse's position as premier value-added I&C supplier.
• Apply comprehensive engineering knowledge to lead through complex and difficult technical challenges.
