About the role:

HR Country Partner will be responsible for multiple administration areas for established HR programs including HR employment issues (hiring and termination processes and labor law issues, contract renewals and dismissals, trainee programs, expatriates, control/process of retirement, etc.). Responsibilities include ownership of short to mid-term execution of functional strategy and operational direction. Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership. HR Country Partner will be supporting Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Ukraine.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Fulfills HR Country Partner role for designated countries.
  • Focuses on consistent application of the HR model across assigned groups.
  • Supports consistent development and implementation of country level labor strategies for wages and terms and conditions plans and levels of negotiating authority for assigned groups.
  • Leads development of programs and processes across assigned group to enhance consistency in operations and service delivery.
  • Works with HR representatives to identify trends and develops recommendations or leads efforts to drive continuous improvements.
  • Advises, coaches, and counsels managers, employees, and HR staff on employee & labor relations issues to promote positive relationships between trade unions, works councils, managers, and employees. Identifies potential labor issue and develops mitigation plans in conjunction with other HR and business leadership
  • Ensures equitable application of organization policies and procedures while applying sound knowledge of relevant employee and labor relations and applicable country compliance laws. Focuses on alignment of HR processes and practices across the area of responsibility to provide a consistent approach to policy development, application and management. 
  • Provide guidance to management and HR representatives on the interpretation and administration of company policies, procedures, and programs. Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of HR operations and services. 
  • Identified, leads or participated in internal projects and workstreams as needed. Identify and recommend methods to resolve problems, update, simplify, enhance, and optimize existing processes, procedures, policies, and technologies. Leads or supports cross functional continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure effective new hire onboarding and mentoring programs focused on minimizing time to effectiveness and longer-term capabilities to support the business for areas of responsibility.
  • Responds to, and advises HR representatives with escalated cases in more complex HR scenarios
  • Works with HR representatives to ensure sound judgment, people and business acumen, and practical experience to lead or support initiatives such as organizational design and change, talent assessment and gap identification, and communication and change management strategies.
  • Supports HR leaders in the planning and execution of strategic HR projects, programs, and initiatives. May lead or mentor HR project teams in related projects, programs, or initiatives.

 

 

About you:

  • Experience leading HR operations support for manufacturing, field services, and business operations.
  • Preferred: multicounty EMEA HR leadership experience
  • Education Level: BS or BA degree in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of employment law.
  • Ability to develop, deploy, and maintain aligned compliant HR programs and processes.
  • Ability to positively influence peers, managers, employees, and trade unions / works councils.
  • Ability to identify and drive alignment across complex groups and multiple countries while ensuring compliance.
