Junior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role:

As a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer you will protect organization's information systems and sensitive data from both external and internal threats. You'll develop security solutions to prevent cyberattacks, while ensuring compliance with security standards. Your role is critical in an environment where cybersecurity risks are increasing daily.

You will report to the Europe Controls & Information Systems Engineering Manager and be located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Model of work: hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and integrate security solutions in demanding technical environments.
• Ensure system compliance with security requirements.
• Participate in testing and validation to guarantee the robustness of security architectures.
• Resolve security incidents in collaboration with partners.
• Contribute to training and awareness programs on cybersecurity best practices.
• Take part in improving integration and validation processes.
• Monitor cybersecurity threats and solutions tailored to critical environments.
• Analyze feedback to enhance protection of future systems.

Qualifications:

• Technical knowledge:
  • Operating systems: Windows, Linux (Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu)
  • Network protocols: TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, SNMP
  • Network security: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxy, NAC
  • System hardening solutions
  • Securing IT and OT architectures
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
• Experience in risk analysis and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, encryption, IAM)
