About the role:

Kickstart Your Career as a Junior Project Engineer – Help Shape the Future of Nuclear Energy in Bulgaria!

As a Junior Project Engineer you will join our fast-growing Project Engineering team in Bulgaria and become part of a groundbreaking new chapter in nuclear energy development. You will work on one of Europe's most exciting clean energy projects: the design and development of a new AP1000® nuclear power plant. This is your opportunity to grow with a global leader in nuclear innovation - Westinghouse - as we expand our new-build capabilities across Europe.

You will report to the Senior Project Engineering Manager and be located in Sofia, Bulgaria. Model of work: hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Junior Project Engineer, you will support a multidisciplinary engineering team and gain hands-on experience in delivering complex, high-impact projects. You will help integrate technical information, coordinate engineering inputs, and help ensure we meet project milestones.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collect and compile technical design information into clear and structured reports

• Assess incoming client requests and help shape our engineering response

• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to meet project commitments

• Helping define scope, timelines, and cost estimates for technical proposals

• Support internal and customer-facing meetings, with the opportunity to present technical content

• Contribute to bidding and proposal efforts across European markets

• Supporting the Project Engineering Manager and Technical Design Leads in daily tasks

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering - Nuclear, Engineering, Mechanical, Power or related fields

• Between 0 and 5 years of professional experience — internships, research or junior roles all count!

• Proficiency in English

• Eagerness to work in a diverse environment

• Willingness to travel occasionally - less than 20% of your time (travels: 1 - max 2 weeks)
