About the role:

As a Senior Commercial Operation Manager you will be dedicated to the activities for the Kozloduy Units 7&8 Nuclear Power Plant in Bulgaria, providing contract management services to the Company and the Project Director, concerning the Bulgaria Engineering Services Contract. As an individual contributor, you'll ensure all contract management activities are executed following Project/ES Business Unit directives and instructions including Company procedures.

Together with the Project Director you'll develop claims strategy, implementing such claim against customers and suppliers as well as defending against similar claims, in full coordination with the Legal team. You'll Implement an efficient project document management system, ensuring proper invoicing and payment process.

You will report to the VP Commercial Contracts and be located in Sofia (Bulgaria) with possibility of hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Execution (from Project Kick-off to project closure) and then lead of Contract Management activities and be an active contributor of the Contract Management once EPC Contract is signed
• Establish contract strategy and drive implementation of strategic contract opportunities
• Support Legal in handling formal dispute resolution (mediation, litigation and arbitration)
• Support the Project Director in the verification that all parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and there are no responsibilities outstanding
• Analyze prime contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflicts, as work proceeds
• Support Supply Chain and other departments in the development of Purchase Orders, Contracts and Subcontracts
• Ensure that contract insurance provisions are adhered
• Seek advice from Legal (Export Control) to ensure accurate handling of all export control matters
• Support the development process of the offer for the EP+C Contract
• Support drafting of Project Review documentation and executive management briefing materials for communication of updates/status of project execution, change order, claims negotiation and settlement

Qualifications:

• University degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration; Contract Management or Law.
• At least 10 years real experience as Lead Contract Manager for projects in Europe required with at least 15 years' experience in the field of complex EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) industrial project in the field of nuclear, oil & gas, power, automation, or similar industries.
• Experience in contract negotiations, contract analysing and drafting, change orders negotiations, risks and opportunities monitoring and claim management/drafting.
• Fluent in English an Bulgarian
