Senior Supplier Performance Engineer

This position is for a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer to support fabrication of electro-mechanical components at supplier facilities.
You will report to the Manager of I&C Supplier Performance and be located at Bulgaria. This role requires up to 30% travel, both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Supplier Management & Oversight

Perform On-site and Remote supplier oversight activities to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved.

Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans to drive on-time completion of critical document submittals, manufacturing activities, review and disposition of supplier process documents, surveillance points (Witness and Hold points), inspections, and tests; to ensure vendor compliance with critical requirements.

Actively identify and escalate significant supplier issues and risks, and drive prompt resolution of issues by issuing timely communications and coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders, holding them accountable to ensure prompt identification of impacted products, disposition of issues, and implementation of Corrective Actions.

Monitor key supplier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, Deviation Notices, etc.) for assigned suppliers, to proactively identify negative performance trends and implement Causal Analysis (RCA), Corrective & Preventive Actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans to mitigate issues.

Evaluate procurement (supplier) risk, soliciting stakeholder input, and leveraging tools and resources to develop security of Supply Risk Mitigation Plans.

Provide regular progress reports to the Business Unit Stakeholders (Project Manager, Program Director, etc.) and the SPE Leadership team.
Supplier Development

Perform Technical Evaluations of new and existing suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes & standards, and any associated risks.

Identify gaps between supplier capabilities and Westinghouse Technical / Quality requirements to establish and implement Development Plans.

Lead Supplier Development and Qualification activities, Supplier Improvement initiatives, and Cost Reduction efforts.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Automation Engineering or similar

4+ years of progressive experience in Engineering/Manufacturing.

Knowledge regarding several of the following manufacturing processes: machining, welding, forming, molding, mechanical assembly, testing and inspection, especially regarding Instrumentation & Control Systems, such as electromechanical components, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies and harnesses, electrical cabinets, sensors, etc.

Experience performing Problem Solving activities and Process Standardization plans.

Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans.

Experience performing Supplier Evaluation/Qualification.

Project Management Experience: leading multiple, concurrent, cross-functional projects.

Familiarity and experience with IPC / IEEE / ASME standards (norms, codes, technical specifications, drawings).

IPC and/or NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Certifications are highly valued.

Welding (AWS) and/or NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Certifications are nice to have.

Experience with nuclear products and standards is desired.

Proficient at Microsoft Project and Power Point.
